WaterUps® Wicking Beds
Save Water and Save Time with modular wicking cells
Plants are watered from below rather than above by filtering moisture via the WaterUps® wicking cells through to the soil medium directly to the roots. Water moves upwards from the water reservoir to the top keeping the soil moist that the plants are growing in. Just like a big “sand sponge”.
By storing water under the soil surface, evaporation is reduced and water is saved for the plants that need it – not lost to the air. The plants only use the water that they require, so that you never under or over water.
After a couple of days surface watering while the roots of your seedlings get established, simply fill up your WaterUps® Wicking Bed reservoir via the inlet pipe about once a week, or when needed. Perfect low maintenance, sustainable gardening!
Designed and manufactured in Australia from recycled plastic, WaterUps® wicking cells have achieved the ‘Smart Approved WaterMark’ certification.
